I am a new Great Aunt

It makes me feel very old, Great Aunt Jo! My niece had her baby girl this week, 7 and a half pounds, a 5 hour labour and no stitches, lucky girl lol
I haven't seen her yet as they live in London, but soon as I get a pic I will post it. She is half Egyptian, so should be very pretty.
I think they are calling her Esmae, unless they have changed their minds.

We are planning a trip to NY at the end of August. I'm getting so excited. My parents are having a family reunion on the 30th so we are going up for that. We will be leaving the afternoon of the 27th and will start back the afternoon of the 31st. I have to be back to work september 2. It's short and won't be nearly enough time, but hopefully next year we can go up there longer. I will get 2 weeks vacation next year, but with Danny un-employed we don't really know...

Just thought id post a few pics of what ive been up to. First 3 are taken on our last day of college, thank god the sun was out!! The 4 girls in the picture with me are (from the right) Emma, Dora, me, Rosie and Ellie.Except for Ellie (who ive known for many years) these are my closest friends i have made over the past 2 years at college, we have such a great time together!

Thanks for your message Debs, Sorry I haven't been on for a while, but things have not been too good recently. I have now been diagnosed with cluster headaches. these have been going on for months so at least now I am getting treatment that helps. They have been so debilitating, I have not been able to do pretty much anything. Then on Easter Friday I came down with Shingles. At least I didn't get the rash, but it is extremely painful to say the least. Again this has laid me low...

Ok, so I don't know if all of you are aware of my medical history or not, but today I got some SUPER wonderful news!

I had previously, tentatively (due to health insurance reasons), been diagnosed with having Lupus. Now, if you do a google on Lupus, you will find that there are two forms, external and internal. Hi, thanks guys for all your thoughts, hugs and prayers, they really made me feel a bit better. The funeral went off very well, it was a humanist ceremony as she wanted with little speeches from two of her neighbors one of her grandkids, Tabitha and mum's friend Trevor. Hi, just thought I would let you know that my mum has taken a turn for the worse and is in a hospice. She came to stay with me a couple of weeks ago
as she was too poorly to be on her own and we couldn't seem to get much help. She got worse and worse and eventually last week I rang the hospice where she has been
going on a Thursday as a day patient and they admitted her.

Its a lovely place, they are so caring and the atmosphere is so calm. Yesterday they managed at...

BRCA1 & 2 test results

Hi. some of you may remember that well over 6 months ago my mum had the genetic test for the BRCA1 & BRCA2 breast cancer and ovarian cancer gene and if she had it my sister and I would also be tested. I worked out that we should have the results by August at the very latest. They said they would write or send us another appointment if we needed one.

Newish baby grandaughter

to visit Rick's sister, Kathy. She had breasts constructed out of her own tissue from her abdomen. She showed me her new breasts. Kinda weird but I think they will look better when the stitches are removed. This is sort of a new procedure but it is suppose to be safer than putting artificial stuff in your body. She seems to be doing well.

well here goes..sorry i havent been on for yonks.. but as you can imagine its been pretty busy.. and tbh.. i havent been bothering with the birds much during my pregnancy.. we havent got anymore and we havent lost any either..so alex has been tending to them etc..
