My new hatching eggs |
Lead | ||

Its that time of year for me again, Mrs White is broody. I have been to see Debs and she has given me 6 large fowl orp eggs to hatch for her. I'm getting
excited already. There might be black, blue or splash.

The bantam orps look gorgeous, can you tell the black ones apart Debs?
It's so funny, did the boys choose the names? I am on day 3 with the eggs, ages to wait yet :( |

I think the orps and the chochins are my favourites at the mo Deb. Such fluffy birds lol
I can't tell the black boys apart to look at them but one always comes for a cuddle and will sit for ages just being held. ;) I can't wait either! Only 16 days to go lol Debs x |

Yes Debs, those are my favs also. And, it is the super fluffy feathering that does it for me too, not to mention the gentle behaviors.

Yes, I'll be posting pics as soon as they hatch. They're a joint effort, Debs's eggs and my broody. My hairdresser called Mrs White a clocker!
He's from Newcastle (UK) and that's what they call broodies up there. I haven't heard that expression before, has anyone else?

Ooo all fertile woo hoo! I so hope they all hatch - it's just too exciting for words.
I had a girl go broody in the garage. Sat on nothing for 4 days - so moved her into the old chick shed gave her some eggs - and now she's gone off the boil :( Typical. Theresa ( a member on here) was from up that way and she used to call broodies clockers. Love Debs x |
