Welcome home hun. And no worries, I got myself an orange hooded sweatshirt...lol. I wasn't too pleased with the lack of choices, so you will probably get
something to go with what I already got. Harumph, they let me down! LOL. Oh well, shopping is kind of nice therapy at the moment. ;) Bell, we have our good
stuff and then we have our cheap stuff. It's all in what you pick. You must have picked a good quality fabric.

Yes in about 2 hours I will be in bed too - feel totally exhausted as had a major clean out of the garage - in some ways I think its harder to leave a new
modern home cause then the dirt shows up more - in our old place it was so old and dark you could not see the stains (but I loved that house, we spent 13 years
there and the boys were born there too).
Burnt a drum of rubbish - nice thick black smoke - unfortunately it didnt go near the neighbours as the wind was blowing the other way! Started to pack up STUFF - heavens above I seem to accumulate so much, but I cant bear to throw out garden magazines etc - even if they date back to 10 years ago!!!!! That article on orchids, snowdrops and sweetpeas could come in use again ;) Oh well, must unload dishwasher, and tidy up.... Deb the fabric was made in the US too - its so good and wellmade - I love the color orange too - but I have to be careful cause I can get flushed from working outside! lol!! |

hows everyone? What have you all been up to?
Bell- chucking rubbish out is such a good feeling :) ive just started clearing my room out, for about the 3rd time this year- hopefully it will be clean soon, ive got serious lack of motivation! Ive got to get a job now- eugh its so hard because i quit my job in 2007 and havent had one since as i concentrated on studying- so i havent got a lot of experience, which is an issue when trying to find a job in a recession. I would really like to do some kinda receptionist job this year, rather than a shop job in town. I just think it would be better experience working for a company but it's hard to find jobs where they dont want lots of prior experience. Except for that my life is pretty boring at the moment, we took Billy our new dog to my best friend Tom's house yesterday and he has a 5 year old labrador, who usually hates other dogs. They got on really well, even curled up together!! We got some pics which i will try and upload once ive worked out how to use photobucket as it seems to have changed- if i cant manage it i may have to ask Deb nicely to post for me!! hope your all well. much love xx |

Hi Alexa - yes I know the feeling about working as a receptionist or "with people"...are there any hotels or such like in your area, it would be a
good way to meet people and you look so pretty I am sure you would go down well behind a reception!

Sorry I haven't been on here much. Life has been a bit over the top. I got a bad sinus infection which knocked me out for a few days. I also bought myself
a laptop for my birthday, so I am currently propped up in bed writing to you. But that took a day or so to get all set up. There seems to be a new man in my
life. I am not getting my hopes up or allowing my heart to rule my head, but men take up a lot of time and work too! LOL. And, then there is of course school
and work in the mix.
I have been reading and silently supporting everyone. Lex's warm and snugglies went out in the mail and is well on it's way to her. Hopefully we will get a new pic of her when she receives it. Loves and hugs |

Just a quick hello - Deb this sounds such good news about the new man....slowly and carefully and if he is a good sort he will give you respect which is so
important early on in a relationship. What does he do? And is he fair, or dark and handsome (mind you its the goodlooking ones who are the heartbreakers (well
in my experience!!) Do let us know!!
My life is taken up by building our new house and selling our present one, and its really stressful. We spent all weekend working really hard ready for the photographers (who just turn up with little notice). My hands are raw and my back aches with cleaning!! Our lovely pond (which hopefully will be the $$$$$$s developed scungy green ALGAE...eeeek - its never ever happened before, and would come at the time we want to pond to
look the best selling point. So had to get in, with nets, (which didnt work) and so much other stuff... My gumboots leaked and I was really really FED UP... it
blew hard today and rained so some had gone but really and truly something I didnt need.
Anyway thats about it for now so wont go on! Cant wait to see Alexas new woollies! |

Life sounds good for you Deb- hope things go well with your new man. Im seeing a careers lady today, taken a while to get a meeting. So hopefully she will be helpful in directing me as to what i want to do. Im also thinking of doing some volunteering. Because although money would be good from a job, i dont desperately need it to live and think maybe volunteering work would be more of a life experience for my gap year than just a job in a shop. I will sort things out after ive seen the careers lady. Sounds like a stressful time for you Bell, i hope things go more smoothly for you now and that you manage to sell your house okay. I don't know about where you lot are but here in the UK xmas stuff is coming out on the shelves, im just like omg it hasnt even been bon fire night or halloween yet! arrrh.. weve had family talks about Christmas already because usually my gran is with us but she is off for Australia for a month to visit family, so we are thinking of having something different to our usual same time Christmas day and lunch etc. xxx |

Have had to get inside as photographer is here and I dont want to be seen in the pics!! Have been frantically persuading the duckies to float prettily on the
pond to get in the photos, Its windy so hopefully the algae wont be seen on the water!!
Yes Xmas stuff here already - takes all the charm out of xmas spirit, its just greed to make people buy more, in my opinion!!! Alexa whereabouts in Aussie is your Gran going? Its a long trip so really adventurous of her, and its going into our summer here. What a good idea doing voluntary work - its very rewarding. In haste now as nearly dinner time so must get food on table! |

She is going to Perth i think it is. We have relatives all over Australia, so she is going to spend Christmas with her Niece and her family this year. It will
be strange because we have her at ours EVERY year for christmas, with the same time for lunch etc. so this year we are gonna do things differently.
The careers lady i saw, she was soo soo lovely. We talked about things and have come to a decision i will reapply to university for Criminology, possibly with sociology and im also looking at one social science course. Im going to see Surrey uni this weekend, although i have been there before i just want to know more about the course and im also probably going to apply to cardiff and royal holloway, which is also in surrey but closer to London. So all southern and all pretty easy and direct to get home from for visits. |

Hello ladies, sorry for my absence. I have actually checked in here several times a day, but only to make sure all was well. It's been a bit crazy.
School is really intense this class. I end up writing about 12 to 14 pages a week, and read just about the same amount of chapters. It's only one class, ENGL-1001. It's all about writing, and it really is about writing and writing and writing. Work hours have picked up also, which has caused issues at home with the dogs. The baby boys have started being destructive to personal belongings...shoes, slippers, clothes, etc. So, I have had to crate them during the day. When I get home they are so pent up that they need at least an hour of high energy play to settle down. That cuts into study time. So, it all kind of snow balls. The new man I am seeing, wants my attention also, so that just really complicates things. I told Todd that he was an 'unplanned', lol, so he has to be happy with what he gets, cause he gets all I can give. He completely understands and is very proud of me for being so focused on school. He likes it when I go over there to read or write, and I am just a warm body in the house with him. He has actually been very respectful of study time, so I think I can trust him to more time, even if it is just me sitting there pecking away on the keyboard. Things are moving along in the romance department pretty well. Todd is completely smitten, yet I am apprehensive. I have been hurt too many times to jump in with both feet. But, we have done the family introductions and his kids adore me. They love that their dad is taking better care of himself and his home because of me. He has even said the "L" word to me AND infront of them. He is gone for the weekend, as his son and his wife had a baby girl yesterday. I need the time to work on class work anyways. Good luck in the job hunt Lex. I hope you find the perfect fit! Bell, sorry you are so stressed over the sale of the house. Glad the photographer at least got there and completed that portion. Do you have a link to the sale listing for us to peek at? No, wouldn't want to move next to your neighbors, but wouldn't mind seeing the listing with my real estate background. Love and hugs to all! |

Good to hear from you again Deb....sorry to hear the doggies are being time consuming, we are having dog problems too, cause dear old dog is really feeling her
age, and is not enjoying life much (she is 12) andlittle JR is feeling neglected cause we just dont have time to excercise her and she knows her friend is
getting old...Well I am so pleased to hear about Todd, sounds a decent sort, and good that he does NOT have young children of his own. I dont know why but I
have a good feeling about him!! I have been looking up algae on ponds, I am FED UP WITH IT!!!! Spent all arvo trailing around with a small net, and I hate
getting water in my gumboots, especially murky pondweed too! I will try and post a pic.

Glad things are going well for you Deb. Sound like your very busy with all your work, but we all know you can do it and will do really well :)
Aww your poor dog Bell, must be horrible when they get old and can't do much. On the pond front- in England we put some barley straw i think it is in the pond in a net, it attracts all the dirtyness of the pond, from the surface/liner and makes it look a lot cleaner. You can get it from pond places or just buy it and put it in a net yourself i suppose. Ive had a good weekend, went out with my friends last night for Halloween, had a brilliant time! I was the driver for the night- all my friends got to have drinkies. I had to take my brother home and we were all going to go home but decided to stay and had a really good time dancing. xx |

Bell, I hope Lex's suggestion helps with the pond. Sorry your having doggy issues too. Mine seems to have cleared up as fast as it started...knock wood!
Glad you had a great night Lex. I didn't do anything but sit and study. :( |

Well Deb, think of all the possibilities you will get when you achieve your studies - very hard I know, but I am sure you will do well. Yes barley straw seems
to be the best answer for Green Slime - but its hard to find at this time of year, so OH and I went and bought a huge whitebait/lobster net, which we spent
most of the morning trawling around the pond, collecting green gunge, really time consuming when there are 101 more important things to do! So far its not too
bad, as have been running the pump hose from our well into the pond with clean water (hate the think of power bill) but we just cannot advertise this place
"with stunning Lake" and prospective buyers see green algae! I cant do it by myself cause its heavy and the pond has a nasty sucky bottom which is
like quicksand, and I really and truly do not want to be stuck in the pond when agent brings buyers in lol!!

LOL Bell!
That would be about the worst nightmare ever! I guess you
could arch your back, put your hands in the air, and spit water from your mouth...pretending you are a fountain.
Two MAJOR papers written and turned in tonight. I am (as Lex would say) simply shattered. I don't even get a reprieve from stress tomorrow. It is going to be a very busy day with reservations and returns, plus Corporate will be there watching my every move and spoken word with an evil eye.
