I am in a real dilemma on the best way to move 22 birds in one swoop!! I have 13 ducks, and 5 large Geese, 2 being Sebasopol, and 3 being Chinese Gees, both
are pairs, the Chinese Geese have baby goose, who is now a male same size as Dad. We are moving house and cant leave them by their lovely pond. My real worry
is how to catch them and the best way to pack them up. I think its best the pair of Sebastopols can go in one large box together as mates, but with t he
Chinese, I am not sure. Would it be best for them all to go iin one big box together? Or for Mr and Mrs in one box and the offspring male in a separete box? or
would he get too stressed being away from his parents? Or perhaps best for each to go in a separate box? And whats the best way to handle a large, frightened
and stressed bird into a box?? Its their necks I am concerned about.... Ducks are pretty easy I think. Any hints and advice appreciated. They are all going to
new homes and I feel very heavy hearted about it all,
but we cant
leave them here in case the new people are not bird friendly.

(make those Geese instead!). No house no way ready, but have had to plan ahead and I put my Geese and Ducks for sale on Trade Me and have found good homes for
them, but with 2 different people, so have to plan this all with great regard to timing, like the two parties (from opposite ends of the country) meeting and
our place, etc etc!!! And they will have to go at the same time, cause if one lot go first, the others will be too scared and stressed when their mates
go...will keep you posted - have my wetsuit at the ready! lol
